West Coast Vintage Racers Safety Rules

W.C.V.R. operates on the basic principle that all participating vehicles shall be of pre-1975 type and shall, to the extent possible, be restored or constructed to “period correct” mechanicals and silhouette.  The following safety requirements are intended to protect all participants and are not intended to impose “design” or other restrictions.  All requirements are “minimums”.  All items are subject to “good condition” requirements.  All items apply to all persons and all vehicles except those noted ERV (exclusive racing vehicle), which apply only to those vehicles used exclusively for racing.

By delegation of the W.C.V.R. Board of Directors, The W.C.V.R. “Technical Safety” committee has operating authority over the interpretation, application and enforcement of all technical safety requirements.  Technical safety committee policies and actions are not subject to debate during the course of sanctioned events and will only be addressed at regular technical committee meetings.
